What is 3P-EMON¶
The RACKSYNC 3-Phase Energy Monitoring System (3P-EMON) is a professional-grade 3-phase energy monitoring system designed for industrial and commercial installations. It combines the Eastron SDM630MCT-RC meter with Rogowski coil current transformers and a Tasmota ESP32-C3 IoT controller, all housed in a DIN-rail mounted HT-8WAY enclosure.

System Overview¶
The 3P-EMON system measures voltage, current, power, energy, power factor, and frequency on 3-phase electrical systems. Measurement data is transmitted via Modbus RTU over RS485 for local communication, and published over MQTT via Wi-Fi with TLS encryption for cloud and home automation integration. This dual-interface design enables both on-site monitoring through Modbus master devices and remote monitoring through IoT platforms such as Home Assistant, MQTT brokers, and custom cloud dashboards.
